《Rise of the Tomb Raider》由Crystal Dynamics開發，作為去年《Tomb Raider》重製版的續作發行。在本屆GamesCom 2014展上微軟宣布了本作上市時間，預定2015年登陸Xbox One以及XBox 360。

親愛的Tomb Raider社區成員：
我們剛剛在Gamescom上宣佈了《Rise of the Tomb Raider》2015年年底將獨佔登陸Xbox One主機。你們是Tomb Raider的忠實粉絲，在這裡我想解釋一下為什麼會將本作變為Xbox One獨佔。
2013年發售的《Tomb Raider》因你們的支持獲得了巨大的成功，而《Rise of the Tomb Raider》我們則想做出些特別的東西來。今天在微軟發佈會的公佈，會説明我們將此系列打造成動作冒險遊戲的頂峰。微軟自從2011年E3以來就一直將古墓系列視為巨大的潛力，當時我們在E3展臺上公佈了《Tomb Raider》。我覺得有他們的鼎力協助，我們可以將這個系列打造成遊戲史上最經典的系列。
不過這並不代表我們放棄了PC和PS4的玩家，今年12月PS4和PC玩家依然能夠玩到《Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris》，而且PS4也有了《Tomb Raider: The Definitive Edition 》。
